Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP)

ACAP On-Line is an integral part of the Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP). ACAP On-Line assists you with job assistance, exploring the job market, creating a résumé, preparing for job interviews and evaluating job offers. The same services are available at 51 ACAP Centers worldwide.

As a veteran, you are eligible to use ACAP services for 180 days after your ETS. Click here to locate your nearest ACAP center.
ACAP Express: ACAP Express gives eligible veterans the ability to go online at any time, from any location, to register and receive ACAP services. By using their AKO login to access ACAP Express, veterans can schedule attendance at job assistance events offered by their ACAP Center. DOL One-Stop Career Centers

Veterans can find the services they need at a convenient One-Stop Career Center. Work with a Veterans' Employment Specialist to find jobs, acquire skills and education, plan your career, attend workshops, and take advantage of other resources. Search the directory for the One- Stop Career Center near you or just pick up the phone and dial 1-877-US2-JOBS for direct assistance!

TurboTAP (Transition Assistance Program)

TurboTAP is an interactive website that provides lifetime support to separating and transitioning military service members and their families.

It is open to the public and features an Individual Transition Plan Account System that helps service members stay connected to their benefits for life. As new benefits are created and as old ones change, this system sends out Benefits Alerts to those who register for this service.

The latest support resources at state and federal levels are also featured on this website.

Résumé Help

When seeking civilian employment, it is important that veterans use civilian terminology on their résumé.
Below are 2 web sites that help transitioning military personnel translate their military occupational specialties and training into civilian experience and training.
Military Spouse Recruitment

The Federal Government also provides job opportunities for military spouses to recognize the sacrifices and contributions they make.
  • There are a number of ways military spouses can enter the federal civilian work force including a special appointing authority just for them!
  • Under certain circumstances, military spouses may even have preference on Merit Promotion referral lists.
